1/2" MAINLINE TUBING, 3/4"MAINLINE TUBING, and larger diameter FLATUBE

1/4" and 1/8" tubing can be found under Micro-Irrigation.

Blank tubing (tubing without emitters built in) is used throughout a drip system. The tubing, made of thin-walled black soft polyethylene, is the main line that transfers water from the source to various emitter lines or garden beds. This tubing is flexible enough to easily accommodate the Easy Loc fittings found on this site under "Fittings/Valves". (The dimension of the 1/2” tubing is .700 O.D., the 3/4” mainline tubing is .940 O.D.). The 1/2" and 3/4" is designed to have holes punched into it for emitters and transfer barbs. Blank tubing can last 8 years or more when exposed to sunlight, longer if mulched over or buried. Garden pruners can be used to cut the tubing.
NOTE: A kink in mainline tubing is not a problem, it will not cause a weak spot and will disappear under pressure unless the line is bent too sharply (for sharp bends to go around corners use an elbow.)

FLATUBE

This tubing is used in commercial systems. Flatube is a larger diameter pollyethylene tubing extruded in an oval shape so it can be shipped by UPS. It is used mainly as a high flow, low pressure header for T-Tape. Tape Loc barbed fittings can be inserted directly into it.

Uses standard barbed fittings and hose clamps or 1" Easy Loc fittings for 1" Flatube.
Holes for barbed fittings can be make with a manual punch or drill.
Will last 7+years in direct sun, longer if buried
