T-Tape fittings for garden or row crop irrigation, economical drip irrigation

The barbed fittings are used to connect tape to 1/2" or 3/4" mainline tubing. Use item 601-PUY punch to make hole for 1/4 “ barbs and item 605-PU400 punch (or a 5/16” drill) for fittings with .400 barb. Other fittings will join tape to tape, or end a line of tape. For instructions on using these Tape Loc fittings see explanation in column to the right.

HOW TO USE TAPE LOC FITTINGS:

Use scissors to cut the end of the T-tape at a right angle. (Make sure you have not cut right at an emitter)
Turn the locking ring on the fitting counter clockwise until it seats against the fitting body.
Slip the T-tape completely over the large barbed end.
Twist the locking ring clockwise until tight.
Give T-tape a firm tug to make sure it is securely attached.
If any water leaks at this point it may be remedied by tightening the Tape Loc ring with a pliers. If leaking persists, it is likely because the tape cut was made near or on an emitter. To eliminate that, just cut beyond the emitter and re-do fitting process.
Softening the tape in hot water will make it pliable and help it seal.
